Guru Studio Brings New True and the Rainbow Kingdom Original Content to YouTube for Mental Health Awareness Month

May 4, 2026 (Toronto, Canada) – Guru Studio is expanding its globally beloved Netflix preschool series True and the Rainbow Kingdom with the launch of new, original content for the first-time designed specifically for YouTube and YouTube Kids.

 

Rolling out throughout the month of May for Mental Health Awareness Month, the collection of mindfulness-inspired shorts promotes emotional wellness for kids and families, with a series of guided breathing exercises and ASMR relaxation videos. The videos demonstrate simple everyday mindfulness practices combining calming audio, gentle pacing that encourages viewers to directly join in.

 

“More than ever, kids need a break. Families want purposeful screen time,” said Frank Falcone, Guru Studio President and Executive Creative Director. “This collection of videos features kids’ favourite characters guiding them toward mindful everyday practices.”

 

 

The May launch marks the beginning of a broader rollout for the new True & You series which will expand later this summer with additional formats, including action-packed Mini-Rescues showcasing True’s problem-solving abilities in bite-sized adventures, as well as slapstick Bartleby Bites and back-to-school themed content.

 

With 5 billion YouTube views and counting, True and the Rainbow Kingdom continues to establish itself as a leading global preschool franchise. With support provided by Ontario Creates, True & You reflects Guru Studio’s ongoing commitment to creating multi-platform content that supports positive emotional development.

 

The first wave of True & You content begins rolling out on YouTube and YouTube Kids this month, with additional releases scheduled throughout 2026.
